I enjoyed this second installment in the Jack Daniels series. I did not think the mystery was too complex since I figured out who was responsible for the murders before the big reveal. I would say that the novel was somewhat predictable since I figured out quite a few plot points in the book. This book does get a little more graphic with the violence than many mystery novels are willing to do. At several times in the book, the author lets us into the murder's head which is quite a scary place. I would not say that this book is at all scary but anyone who does not like gory scenes may want to choose another author. I look forward to the next installment in the series.
