I really could not decide whether this should be 5 stars or 4 stars. I would rate it 4 1/2 stars if half stars were allowed. This was a fast moving and enjoyable read. This book has all of the twist and turns that fans of Harlan Coben have learned to expect in his novels. I loved all of the layers in this book. By looking at the key characters 17 years after the tragic event, we can see the long lasting effects of one act. Some of the characters have been able to move on but still feel drawn to their past while other characters have lost a vital part of themselves in that one night and have not been able to move on. Harlan Coben is one of my favorite authors and I can not wait to get my hands on his next book!
