I absolutely loved this book! The funny thing is that if one of my friends had told me about this book I don't think I would have picked it up based on the description. I just would have never thought that I would like a story about a man falling for his son's nanny as much as I did. I am kind of wondering now how many other awesome books I have missed out on because I can't see past the basic description.
This is the third book in the Cold Fury Hockey series. While I think that this book could be read as a stand alone, I think that readers will definitely want to reading the preceding book in the series, [b:Garrett|23121837|Garrett (Cold Fury Hockey, #2)|Sawyer Bennett|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1410888793s/23121837.jpg|42670856], before jumping into this one because some really important events happen to Zach in that story that really lay the groundwork for this story.
I loved these characters to pieces. Zach is really having a tough time dealing with his grief and his guilt. He starts this story out seeming so incredibly lost. Kate is smart and says exactly what she is thinking. Her life has not been easy but she is the type of person who just jumps in and starts doing the things that need to be done.
The chemistry between these two was off the charts. I almost felt like my kindle was smoking a time or two because the scenes were just so full of sexual tension. Even though they promise each other that what they have is just sex, it will come as no surprise to anyone that they end up falling for each other. The end result of the book may not have been a mystery but the journey there was such a wonderful story to read.
I would highly recommend this book to romance fans. This is the second book by Sawyer Bennett that I have read and I am seriously wondering why I haven't read more for this talented author. I plan to go back and read the first book in this series very soon.
